NBR
The fundamental characteristic of NBR (nitrile rubber) gaskets lies in the high resistance to various chemical agents, such as animal and vegetable oils, fats, solvents, gasolines and aliphatic hydrocarbons, methane and lpg gases, water and saline solutions. The physical and chemical properties vary according to its composition: the higher the content of ACN, the better the resistance to fuels and oils, while the lower its content, the better the resistance to low temperatures of the polymer. Thus, this allows to obtain compounds with specific formulations to optimise the chemical-physical properties in order to enhance the performance according to the context in which the gasket will be used.
Technical features:
- Oil resistance
- Mechanical strength
- Good water resistance
- Good tear and abrasion resistance
- Good flexibility
- Good gas impermeability
- Operating temperatures: -40°C to 120°C if cured with sulphur/accelerant; 40°C to 140°C if peroxide crosslinking (with 30% ACN)
- High tensile strength;
- Low permanent deformation;
- Good compatibility with other types of polymers and materials.
